The Department of Justice is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Correctional Institution Administrator at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence, CO. As the SES Complex Warden, you will be responsible for the overall management of the facility, ensuring the safekeeping, care, protection, discipline, programming, and release of over 2,265 inmates.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all administrative functions of the institution, including planning and coordinating programs related to security, discipline, and development.
- Supervise and direct the activities of subordinates, ensuring effective performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct operations and programs in a correctional setting, evaluating performance and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve institutional operations and programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other federal agencies, state and local governments, and private sector organizations to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Must have progressively responsible experience in a correctional environment, demonstrating the ability to perform supervisory or administrative duties.
- Must have successfully completed the 3-week Introduction to Correctional Training Techniques Program at Glynco, Georgia.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and undergo a background security investigation.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally for training and operational purposes.
- Must have a strong understanding of correctional policies and procedures, as well as experience in managing human, financial, and information resources.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build coalitions and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Must have a results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving high-quality results and meeting organizational goals.
