We are seeking a highly skilled Psychotherapist to join our team at Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive psychiatric services to incarcerated patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments of mental health disorders in accordance with professional and company policies and procedures.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure uniformity of mental health services and provide clinical consultation to mental health and healthcare staff on identified cases.
- Supervision and Oversight: Provide supervision and oversight to psychiatric nurses (if applicable) and consultation/training services to mental health and medical staff.
- Independent Medical Judgment: Exercise independent medical judgment in diagnosis and treatment of patients while adhering to approved medication formulary and notifying appropriate staff of clinical or administrative concerns.
- Education: Doctorate in psychiatry.
- Experience: Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
- Licenses/Certifications: Physician who is licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment, Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry, and CPR Certified.
