Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to contribute to the development of an exciting new project. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about gaming and possesses a unique blend of artistic and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and sustain artist workflows, tools, and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and facilitate teamwork across departments.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, creating robust solutions.
  • Participate in reviews of art assets to pinpoint potential technical issues.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting best practices.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the field of computer-generated art.
  • Strong grasp of 3D mathematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of Maya and computer graphics principles.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming, particularly with Python and PyQT/PySide.
  • Familiarity with shader languages such as HLSL and GLSL.
  • Understanding of algorithm design and complexity.
  • Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to work with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the gaming industry, particularly with AAA titles.
  • Programming skills in C++.
  • Knowledge of modern lighting and rendering techniques.
  • Experience with procedural asset creation tools like Houdini and Substance.
  • Familiarity with OpenMaya and Maya plugin development.
