Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at White Rock Veterinary Hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, procedures, and patient care
  • Prepare patients for surgery and minor procedures
  • Restrain animals safely and humanely
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Provide excellent client communication and customer service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
