Job Title: Program Instructor - Adaptive Recreation

Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Instructor - Adaptive Recreation to join our team. As a Program Instructor, you will be responsible for facilitating adaptive recreation programs for individuals with disabilities in the Carmel/Clay community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement adaptive recreation programs for individuals with disabilities, including swim lessons, sports, fitness, arts and culture, social enrichment, and special events.
  • Provide instruction and support to participants with disabilities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective program planning and implementation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to participants, families, and community members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience in leading programs and working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Recreation Therapy or Special Education background preferred.
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
