Nights Position SummaryThe RN Emergency Room Adult/Peds PRN Nights candidate will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. They will implement and monitor patient care plans, serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment: The nurse will use a systematic and dynamic approach to collect and analyze data about the patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Problem Identification: The nurse will use clinical judgment to identify the patient's response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Planning and Outcomes: Based on the assessment and problem identification, the nurse will set measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family.
- Implementation: Nursing care will be implemented according to the care plan, ensuring continuity of care for the patient during hospitalization and in preparation for discharge.
- Evaluation: The patient's status and the effectiveness of the nursing care will be continuously evaluated, and the care plan modified as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, licensure/certification, and experience:
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
- EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program.
- EXPERIENCE: 1 year of professional nursing experience in an acute care setting, in an Emergency, Critical Care, Telemetry RN, or MSO RN role.
