Job Title: Therapy Technician

Overview

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation

Waxahachie, Texas

Therapy Technician

PRN (as needed)

Shift Hours:

Weekday & Weekend availability required

8:00a-4:30p

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Responsibilities:

Perform patient-related tasks assigned by therapist

Lift patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department

Assist patients with transfer activities to all surfaces

Assist patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department

Position patients in parallel bars and prepare patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment

Transport patients to/from therapy as needed

Assist therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipment

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent required

Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide
