Perioperative Float Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Perioperative Float Nurse to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Perioperative department. As a Perioperative Float Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in pre-operative, post-anesthesia care, and critical care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting, including pre-operative, post-anesthesia care, and critical care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- PACU experience strongly preferred.
- Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred.
- ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
