The Registered Nurse is responsible for effectively prioritizing tasks to meet the diverse needs of patients.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this role are primarily linked to the essential functions of nursing. Candidates must be capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, bending, kneeling, speaking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or exert force up to 50 pounds consistently is required.
Visual acuity is necessary, including close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe areas moving up/down or left/right), depth perception (three-dimensional vision), and the ability to adjust focus.
Cognitive Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific, clinical, or business documents, including financial reports and legal materials.
Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory bodies, staff, and community members is crucial.
Proficiency in writing persuasive correspondence, speeches, and articles for publication is expected.
Ability to effectively present information to senior management, large audiences, and boards of directors is essential.
Candidates must possess the ability to perform complex mathematical functions, including calculating percentages, averages, volume, ratios, and interpreting graphs using numbers, currency, and units of measurement.
The ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required, along with the capacity to handle both concrete and abstract concepts and interpret verbal, nonverbal, and written instructions.
Age Demographics:
This position interacts with all age groups, providing direct patient care. All staff members must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related needs of individuals in their assigned work area.
Additional Information
Minimum Qualifications:
A current RN license in South Carolina is mandatory.
Candidates must obtain PALS and ACLS certifications within six months of employment.
Experience in Critical Care is preferred.
The ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet patient care needs is essential.
Recognizing emergency situations and initiating appropriate responses is crucial.
