Aperion Care Elgin is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing routine charting duties, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they are following established safety regulations and protocols.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, and perform routine charting duties as required.
- Monitor assigned personnel to ensure they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information, and report any incidents of unauthorized disclosure.
- Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
- Ability to move intermittently through the workday.
- Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
