Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in aviation maintenance is essential, or alternatively, 4 years of aviation maintenance experience with at least 2 years focused on mid to large-sized aircraft.
A valid Driver's License is required.Role Overview:
With minimal oversight, the technician is responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.
Core Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
Effectively communicate to comprehend work assignments. Execute intricate aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with limited supervision.
Collaborate with Maintenance Team Leaders, Supervisors, and the Inspection Department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards. Accurately complete maintenance paperwork, including CMP cards and work order sign-offs, in a timely manner.
Assist with shift transitions as necessary.
Ensure all completed work meets established quality standards and specifications.
Correctly identify and secure customer property and equipment. Safely store aircraft components and other customer assets.
Adhere to standard operating procedures when utilizing ground support equipment (such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, and compressed gas cylinders). Facilitate and assist with aircraft movements within hangar and ramp areas.
Provide mentorship to less experienced technicians.Safeguard customer property.
Additional Responsibilities:
Properly collect and dispose of waste materials including fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Implement 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies across all responsibilities.
Utilize and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring items are returned to designated storage after use.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, utilizing protective equipment as necessary, and proactively address unsafe conditions.
Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts requests, monitor issues, and document labor against work orders.
May involve flight tests on aircraft to support certification and final phase testing as required.Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Other Qualifications:
Possess a working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, as well as company policies and procedures.
Additional Information:
