Position Summary: We are currently seeking a qualified Center Physician to oversee our health program at a student training facility. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being of our students through comprehensive medical care.

Work Schedule: The position requires an average commitment of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule. This role can be shared between a Physician and a Nurse Practitioner as independent contractors.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates are offered based on the employment structure:

  • Nurse Practitioner: $75-$80/hour (1099 position)
  • Physician: $135-$140/hour (1099 position)
  • Full-time Physician with benefits: $165,000-$185,000 annually (30 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the medical director for the center's health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, mental health professionals, and other health specialists.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations for new entrants.
  • Review and update healthcare guidelines and authorizations annually.
  • Ensure access to necessary medications and immunizations as per CDC recommendations.
  • Monitor students with chronic conditions and those requiring daily medication.
  • Participate in medical reviews of applicant files.
  • Engage in monthly meetings with the center director and health team.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Georgia, with a preference for primary care specialties such as family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
  • Board certification is preferred.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Resume demonstrating experience with young adults and adolescents.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Consent to a background check post-interview.

Insurance Requirements: The provider must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance, with specified coverage limits, and automobile liability insurance as required.
