Per Diem Speech Pathologist Hospital Position

Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist is needed to work on a per diem basis with patients in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders, providing aural rehabilitation, and training family members and caregivers on communication techniques. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, be certified by ASHA, and have experience working with patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for:
1. Evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders in patients.
2. Providing aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
3. Training family members and caregivers on communication techniques.
4. Modifying treatment plans to meet the individual needs of each patient.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
2. Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
3. Experience working with patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
