Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner plays a vital role in assisting patients of various ages in achieving maximum health potential. As a member of the healthcare team, this professional employs intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills to provide high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat cardiopulmonary conditions using department standards and guidelines.
Serve as a patient advocate, assuming responsibility and accountability for patient care.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and ventilator management.

Requirements

Graduate of a program in respiratory therapy approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
2 years of Full time hospital based acute care Respiratory Care Practitioner experience that includes Critical Care, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Child Birth Center, Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and PACU.
