Job Title: Mechanic

Wamesit Lanes & Escapology is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of our bowling equipment is at the highest level of proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Immediately fix malfunctions of the automatic pinsetter/arcades.
  • Fix minor malfunctions to minimize interruptions of the games.
  • Use specialized tools to perform diagnostic tests on electrical motors and relays.
  • Disassemble machines and replace malfunctioning parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oiling and lubricating mechanical parts and replacing worn belts.
  • Order any parts needed to fix the machines.
  • Set or adjust the automatic machines on each alley to properly remove and replace the pins.
  • Clean and lubricate machine.
  • Establish and maintain annual, monthly, weekly and daily maintenance schedules on all equipment.
  • Create a preventive maintenance program for the pinsetter machines.
  • Ensure high scoring lane conditions meet and align with USBC specifications.
  • Within budget, keep inventory current including machine parts, cleaning supplies, lubricating solutions, etc.
  • Train other Mechanics and Pin Chasers on proper mechanic procedures.
  • Rotate and maintain pins.
  • Identify and suggest repairs and replacements of malfunctioning bowling equipment.
  • Help maintain arcades when needed.
  • Complete any tasks delegated by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required or GED equivalent, or currently pursuing one.
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • Experience working in the bowling industry.
  • Experience working on machines as a Mechanic, preferably in the Bowling Industry.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize during busy times.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with POS systems a plus.
  • Employment subject to successfully completing a Background Check and/or CORI Screening.
