About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Groundhand Laborer to join our Telecom Underground team at Bigham Cable Construction. As a Groundhand Laborer, you will play a crucial role in all phases of underground construction, including loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
  • Install underground telecommunications cabling
  • Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas
  • Clearly communicate with all team members
  • Complete daily production reports
  • Help with site restoration efforts
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
Requirements
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks (preferred)
  • Ability to withstand outdoor environment during all times of the year
  • Ability to lift and/or pull 75 pounds several times each day
