Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care while performing MRI examinations.
  • Accurately interpret imaging data and communicate findings to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Verify patient identification and documentation prior to procedures.
  • Educate patients on the MRI process and address any concerns.
  • Achieve optimal diagnostic images through precise patient positioning and adherence to technical protocols.
  • Maintain the integrity of patient data through accurate computer functions, including scheduling and billing.
  • Participate in team-oriented initiatives to enhance departmental processes and quality improvement.
  • Mentor new staff and students, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of MRI equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT Registration
  • BLS certification from a recognized provider
  • Compliance with MRI Safety Screen requirements

Preferred:

  • One year of experience as an MRI technologist
  • MRI certification or completion within the first 18 months of employment
