Compensation

We are offering a competitive salary of approximately $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

Diesel Technicians play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of heavy equipment and ensuring the safety of our customers and drivers. As a Heavy Equipment Technician - Diesel Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues, assisting customers with roadside services, and providing preventative maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Troubleshoot and repair wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
  2. Assist customers with roadside services, prioritizing their safety and satisfaction
  3. Perform preventative maintenance services to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance
  4. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  5. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our company's policies and procedures, including those related to safety and customer service

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel technician or in a related field
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
