We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Alliance Cancer Specialists. As a key member of our clinical research team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities- Screen potential patients for protocol eligibility and present trial concepts and details to patients, participating in the informed consent process and enrolling patients on clinical trials.
- Coordinate patient care in compliance with protocol requirements, including disbursing investigational drug and providing patient teaching regarding administration.
- Maintain investigational drug accountability and oversee the preparation of orders by physicians to ensure protocol compliance.
- Review patients for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medication use, protocol compliance, response to study drug, and thoroughly document and report all findings to physician and care team.
- Responsible for billing compliance, reviewing protocol specific billing guides, and submitting billing information to appropriate personnel.
- Oversee subject recruitment and study enrollment to meet goals, working with the study team to determine effective strategies for promoting and recruiting research participants and retaining participants in long-term clinical trials.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology, with experience in clinical research preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education required (BSN preferred), with SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice, with Current BLS or ACLS certification required, and OCN certification strongly preferred.
