About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to athletes, ensuring their health and well-being. This includes preventing injuries, maintaining physical fitness, and facilitating rehabilitation after illness or injury.

As an athletic trainer, you will work closely with coaches, physicians, and other medical professionals to provide top-notch care. Your duties will include:

  • Providing medical coverage at local high schools and sporting events
  • Evaluating and treating injuries, as well as developing personalized treatment plans
  • Communicating effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and medical staff regarding athlete status and treatment options
  • Collaborating with school administrators to ensure optimal sports coverage and programs
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating with physicians as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Board of Certification (BOC) certification and Illinois Athletic Trainers License
  • At least one year of experience in athletic training, preferably in a similar setting
