As a Telemetry Monitoring Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by continuously monitoring their vital signs and cardiac rhythms. This position is essential in a clinical setting where prompt and accurate responses to alarms are critical.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional quality in all tasks and treat colleagues and patients with respect.
- Act as a proactive team member, effectively addressing challenges and finding innovative solutions.
- Continuously observe and monitor assigned patients, ensuring timely responses to alarms.
- Verify the correct identification of basic and lethal rhythms, as well as managing EKG monitor alarms.
- Conduct EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, and rhythm analysis, ensuring accuracy and validation by nursing staff.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. A background in healthcare, such as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or nursing student with EKG training, is preferred.
Minimum Requirements- Completion of an EKG class for Monitor Technicians and required competencies within the initial month of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
