Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to provide direct care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as providing emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  2. Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  4. Assist with medication administration, as directed by licensed nurses.
  5. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of South Carolina.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move residents, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
