Mental Health Nurse Specialist

Avera Behavioral Health Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its team in the Adolescent Unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care for adolescents facing addiction and mental health challenges.
This role involves cross-training in multiple patient care settings, requiring a dynamic and flexible approach to nursing within a collaborative team environment.

The Avera Adolescent Addiction Care Program is designed to be an age-appropriate residential treatment facility. Residents receive a tailor-made recovery program based on their personal needs with a focus on healthy coping skills.
Position Highlights:
- This position is cross-trained to work in Adolescent Addiction, Adolescent Program and Child Program

- Student Loan Repayment: This Registered Nurse (RN) position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Certification in specialty encouraged.
- Membership in a professional organization encouraged.
Salary: $32.00-$46.50 per hour
Work Schedule: 12-Hour Day/Evening/Night shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday; 48 hours every 2 weeks
