We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to join our team at Amedisys, Inc., a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy services under a physician-approved plan of care.
- Ensure the plan of care addresses all identified problems or document the rationale for any omitted issues.
- Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supervise home health aides when the registered nurse is not actively involved in the case.
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
- Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE.
- Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
- One year of related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients.
- Current CPR certification.
