Lakeshore Sport & Fitness - Lincoln Park is seeking a highly skilled Squash Instructor to join our team at our premier club in downtown Chicago. With five Squash courts and an active membership, this is an ideal location for an experienced instructor or someone with a passion for the sport who wants to learn from a top professional.
The Squash Instructor will provide professional, engaging, and effective private or group lessons to our members and guests. Key responsibilities include:
- Instructing with a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Instructing members and guests on techniques to improve their skill level and maximize their health from exercise routines during lessons.
- Teaching assigned classes and lessons on a timely basis.
- Responding to member/guest inquiries quickly in a professional and consistent manner.
- Providing excellent customer service with ongoing observation and interpersonal feedback of corrective measures during class participation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current nationally recognized Squash certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience teaching squash.
- Prior teaching experience in a college or corporate setting/background.
- Ability to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and reach.
- Comfortable working with all different age groups and ability to build positive relationships with the members.
- Friendly, outgoing, energetic, and positive attitude.
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and communication.
Additional hours are available based on program participation. Part-time to full-time hours are available. Compensation is commission-based on lessons taught, commensurate with experience level.
