At NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, we are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation to the sick and injured through the NYC 911 system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition and treat in accordance with NYS DOH and Regional Guidelines.
  • Transport patients to appropriate hospitals and transfer care to hospital staff, communicating patient condition and any treatment rendered.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Comply with LMC, FDNY, and NYS DOH guidelines for emergency vehicle operations.
  • Complete electronic Pre-Hospital Care Reports (E-PCRs) for every patient contact.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Completion of New York State Department of Health approved EMT Program.
  • 6 months ambulance experience as Emergency Medical Technician.
  • 6 months 911 BLS experience preferred.
