We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Periodontics Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Great Expressions Dental Centers. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our experienced dentists in delivering top-notch oral health services.
Responsibilities:- Assist dentists in providing patient care and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Support dentists during procedures and anticipate their needs.
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- 3+ years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education.
- At least 1 year of Periodontics experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.
Please note that you must meet the state requirements outlined below to be considered for this position.
State Requirements:- Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
- Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
- Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
- Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
- Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
- New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
- New York: Not applicable.
- Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays).
- Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
