Job Title: Van Driver/Guest Service Agent

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional service to our guests, handle guest registration and room assignments, and transport guests around the premises or local areas in scheduled van runs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Pre-register, block reservations, and take same-day reservations and future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
  • Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Resolve customer complaints and assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc.
  • Cancel room reservations according to procedures.
  • Walk customers in a professional and courteous manner according to procedures if full house or extenuating circumstances.
  • Show guests to their rooms, assisting them with their luggage.
  • Explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and other hotel questions.
  • Check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
  • Ability to read and speak English. Second language is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push or pull a minimum of 120 lbs., of various sizes of luggage, packages, coolers, and boxes.
  • Must be able to work PM (nights), weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
