Podiatrist Opportunity at Balance Health

Balance Health is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at our Las Vegas Foot and Ankle brand. Our practice has two offices in Henderson, Nevada, providing exceptional care to informed patients of all ages.

The Podiatrist will provide routine and referral podiatric services to patients, examining legs and feet to diagnose diseases, treating bone, muscle, and joint disorders, and performing wound care management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of podiatric medicine and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
  • Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements:

  • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
  • Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and stand for up to several hours at a time
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information.

Compensation / Benefits:

Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 - $175,000) + comp. plan (level depends on applicable experience)

Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program begins first of the month following 60 days of employment
