Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in accordance with established pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that is conducive to a professional pharmacy environment.
  • Maintain high-quality work and basic computer skills.
  • Understand department function and be compliant with the completion of all required documentation.
  • Maintain skills and competencies required to perform duties of a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Continue improving skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Must either register with the state as a pharmacy technician trainee and take a Board-approved pharmacy technician certification exam within one year of employment.
  • Board-approved pharmacy technician certification exam can be obtained either from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or be certified either through PTCB or NHA and registered with the state as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Prefer to have some pharmacy experience and basic knowledge of pharmacy workflow.
