Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, dependent on experience

About the Job:

This Safety and Compliance Professional will play a critical role in managing industrial hygiene activities, including developing and implementing annual plans, conducting exposure assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review current and proposed projects to ensure IH concerns are identified and steps defined and addressed
  • Facilitate the approval and onboarding of new chemicals to the site with support of product stewardship
  • Complete required regulatory and corporate reports (e.g., SARA 312, CWC, TSCA)
  • Provide exposure monitoring support during emergencies, such as releases, fires, or spills
  • Function as Radiation Safety Officer with required state licensing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Public Health, or a closely related science/engineering field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in organic chemical industry, oil refining, industrial manufacturing, and/or heavy construction environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and health practices and standards
  • General safety program management with strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA and other industry-related safety regulations required
  • Certification, training, and/or working knowledge of the following: OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, radiation safety

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Experience with SAP, Cority, Sphera, or other SDS management systems
