Neurodiagnostic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Tech to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health.

The Neurodiagnostic Tech will assist physicians with EMGs, perform EEGs, Evoked Potential Studies, and Transcranial Doppler Studies for both inpatients and outpatients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of functional neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.

• Assist physicians with EMGs and perform EEGs, Evoked Potential Studies, and Transcranial Doppler Studies
• Apply principles of mathematics and electronics to provide accurate recordings
• Compute voltage and frequency waveforms
• Verify physician orders prior to administering test procedures
• Obtain pertinent information about patient status to assist neurologist interpretation and feasibility of study
• Prepare and instruct patients on procedures
• Follow proper electrode placement and removal processes to obtain high-quality neuro-diagnostic data
• Comply with infection control policies

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Graduate of a formal training program for neurodiagnostic testing
• Minimum six months of unsupervised experience in EEG and Evoked Potential Studies
• Prefer certification or registration
