Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify treatment needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Coordinate treatment services, including crisis intervention and counseling, to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to federal and hospital guidelines.
  • Participate in Performance/Quality Improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital standards.
Requirements
  • High School or GED required; Baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • New York State Certification as Substance Abuse Counselor required.
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time paid experience in Addiction Services (2 years preferred).
  • Counseling experience that includes a satisfactory recovery from Alcohol or other Substance Abuse for a minimum of 3 years.
