Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Women's Services team at Medical City Arlington. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • 2+ years of acute care Med-Surg experience.
