Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routinely stock all areas and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Handle requests via phone, window, fax, and computer in a professional and timely manner.
  • Deliver medications to specified areas via the pneumatic tubes, hand-delivery, and courier to expedite services.
  • Bring back and sort returns from nursing stations.
  • Support the departmental goals as a team player by assisting staff members and being flexible in roles and responsibilities.
  • Review levels of batched IV medications, batches, documents all required information, and assures batches are checked and put away promptly.
  • Fills stock outs, fixes failed drawers, and delivers discrepancy reports.
  • Reviews daily compare reports and processes reconciliation sheets in CII safe.
  • Resolves daily problems with equipment and issues or escalates to the next level and follows up.
  • Performs monthly inspections of designated automated dispensing machine.
Requirements
  • Current active registration with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or acquire within 6 months of start.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience (2+ years) preferred.
