Independent Medical Examiner Role

We are seeking a licensed psychologist to perform comprehensive disability assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's benefits process.

In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and conduct in-person assessments with each Veteran. You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.

The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; instead, they provide comprehensive assessment findings that the U.S. Veterans Administration uses to make determinations.

This position is for in-person assessments only and does not involve treating or prescribing medication. You will assess 4 Veterans per day and work as an independent contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal.
  • Conduct in-person assessments with each Veteran.
  • Complete DBQs through the web portal.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment findings to the U.S. Veterans Administration.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
  • An active and unrestricted psychology license.
  • Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
