Job Summary:

The Medical Records Assistant will be responsible for preparing, classifying, and abstracting medical reports for the institution. This includes creating medical records for individual inmates, filing medical reports in inmate medical records, compiling all inmate medical records for transfer, and assisting in medical department-related data entry.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and classify medical reports for the institution
  • Create medical records for individual inmates
  • Filing medical reports in inmate medical records
  • Compile all inmate medical records for transfer
  • Assist in medical department-related data entry
Requirements:
  • One year of clerical experience in a medical records department of a hospital, or ambulatory acute medical care setting or a licensed nursing facility
  • Graduation from high school or a medical secretarial or medical records program
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
What We Offer:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65
