Operating Room Nurse

At Cypress Surgery Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse OR to join our team. As a Registered Nurse OR, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in the operating room.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse OR is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care in the operating room, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses.
- Participate in surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery, positioning patients, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience in the operating room, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, as needed.
