As a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent patient care by analyzing biological specimens and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. This is a Per Diem position, working 2x per week, 2pm-10:30pm, with a focus on Hematology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize problems during testing and notify supervisors in a timely manner.
- Discuss workstation workload with supervisors to ensure efficient use of time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adequate supply inventory.
- Follow written procedure protocols to ensure consistent and accurate results.
- Utilize computer functions optimally and actively seek to be informed about computer procedures.
- Perform scientific testing on samples and report results to physicians.
- Education: BS Medical Technology
- License/Certification: Hematology, Chemistry
- Minimum Experience Required:
- Additional Skills: Flexibility to work every other or every third weekend
