Radiology Aide Job Description

The Radiology Aide plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from CT scans, preparing patients for procedures, and delivering patient charts, specimens, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to and from CT scans in a safe and efficient manner
  • Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them according to radiologists' protocols
  • Handle and deliver specimens to the lab
  • Assist patients with instructions for changing, drinking oral contrast, and positioning
  • Maintain accurate patient records for all procedures performed
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret each patient's requirements relative to their age and specific needs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience with lifting/transporting patients and providing excellent customer service within a healthcare setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
