Travel Nurse Across America is actively seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a travel nursing opportunity.
Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Employment Type: Travel
We are looking for experienced PCU RNs for an immediate travel nursing role. Ideal candidates should possess 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Below are additional details regarding the role.
As a PCU Travel Nurse, your responsibilities will include caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments, yet do not need intensive care. PCU RNs will utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track cardiac and other vital signs, allowing for timely interventions in critical situations. - Change dressings, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy.
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.

PCU Travel Nurses should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and lifting without difficulty. RNs should be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of patients requiring up to 50 pounds. Given the fast-paced nature of the environment, Progressive Care Unit RNs must possess strong stress management skills and be able to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
