Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:

  • Utilize the nursing process, critical thinking, and technical skills to deliver safe and effective nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Exhibit professionalism and effective communication in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability while serving as a resource for the patient care team.
  • Be accountable for the quality of nursing care provided and promote a positive image of the nursing profession.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of six months of clinical experience as a licensed Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • A current nursing license in the state of Texas or a Multi-State Compact License.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Unit Overview

Our Ortho/Neuro/Oncology unit features:

  • A 30-bed unit specializing in Orthopedics, Neurosciences, and Oncology.
  • Private patient rooms equipped with advanced technology.
  • A favorable RN to patient ratio of 1:5.
  • Opportunities for cross-training in multiple specialty areas.
  • Access to a Joint Care Coordinator for guidance and education.
