Fabrication Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Estimator to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Mayville, WI. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.

The successful candidate will analyze drawings, specifications, and other relevant materials to calculate detailed cost estimates for fabricated products. They must have metal fabrication estimating experience or strong familiarity with fabrication equipment and methods such as laser cutting, forming, welding, stamping, and assembly.

• Analyze technical documentation to identify and quantify resource requirements ensuring accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, tooling, and operations teams to gather insights, resolve issues, and ensure accurate cost estimates.
• Engage with outside vendors to establish costs for items not supported internally.
• Work with sales application engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) cost and quality improvement proposals.
• Maintain updated knowledge of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and constraints.
• Enter quote requirements into the company's quoting tool and use discretion to change outputs as necessary.

• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.
• Ability to read design prints and utilize Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computer Aided Modeling (CAM) software.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The estimated annual salary for this position is $72,500 based on industry standards and location.
