Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team at Carriage Services. As a member of our dynamic community, you will have the opportunity to create premier experiences through innovation, empowered partnership, and elevated service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services, ensuring timely and appropriate document filling in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, conducting and attending services regularly, maintaining open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files, and implementing company provided training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with client families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Arrange and coordinate memorial services to ensure they meet the family's expectations
  • Ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately and on time
  • Conduct and attend services with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Maintain open and effective communication with clients and colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer
  • Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License and/or ability to obtain licenses or application by endorsement in the state where business is located
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market through community involvement
  • Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $31+ per hour, depending on experience.
