We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MST Therapist to join our team at Vera French Community Mental Health Center.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide direct clinical treatment using the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) treatment model and principles, empowering families to address challenging behavior and help youth aged 10-17 make life-transforming changes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of clients and families, gathering information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology.
- Develop conceptualizations of problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
- Engage primary caregivers and family members in change-oriented treatment, working collaboratively to address challenging behavior.
- Participate in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, receiving ongoing support from supervisors and team members.
- Receive regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills within the MST treatment model.
- Ensure 24/7 support for clients as needed, working collaboratively with fellow clinicians.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Clinically licensed in the State of Iowa.
- Experience with pragmatic family therapies, including structural, strategic, and functional approaches.
- Previous experience working with at-risk youth and their families.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on families' availability.
