Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian Associate to join our team at DaVita. As a key member of our healthcare community, you will provide nutrition services and education to adult dialysis patients and authorized caregivers in clinical settings, supporting their nutritional well-being under the supervision of a qualified renal dietitian.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' nutritional status and develop individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans based on lab results and goals.
  • Develop and implement nutrition education and counseling programs tailored to patients' needs, including nutrient requirements, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Monitor patients' nutritional status, laboratory values, and response to nutrition-related medications and therapy, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, extended care facility staff, and caregivers to ensure adequate and appropriate nutritional care.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and IDT meetings, presenting nutrition-related information and insights.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
