About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conductor to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Conductor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight trains across our vast network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain railcars, locomotives, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient train movement.
  • Monitor and report on train conditions, including speed, clearance distance, and potential hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with other crew members and dispatchers to ensure smooth train operations.
  • Perform switching functions, including operating track switches and derails to change train routing.
  • Conduct regular inspections of trains and equipment to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age and able to report for duty at the designated work location.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, as well as visually distinguish colors and interpret hand signals.
  • Ability to work at various heights above the ground and perform tasks that require climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
