Traffic Signal Technician

Econolite Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Technician to join our team in Ankeny, IA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals and other Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of traffic signal controllers and cabinets
• Install various types of traffic signal controllers, video detection systems, and CCTV
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing wiring problems in the street
• Perform all job functions of Field Service Technician and other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable DMV record
• 1-5 years of related traffic experience; electrical experience preferred
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, practices, and methods used in installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals, ITS devices, and associated equipment
• Ability to interpret design schematics, site plans, maps, and engineering drawings
• Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight
