Tank Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Hmt Tank Inc, a global leader in aboveground storage tank solutions. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient construction of our tanks.

• Inspect and follow blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures
• Prepare and operate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements
• Prepare components for welding according to specifications
• Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to weld components
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws

• Travel is required for this position, with an estimated 75% or more of work being done on-site

• 5 years of experience as a Welder using Flux Core (FCAW) and Stick (SMAW)
• 2 years of experience in Tank Welding
• Ability to pass 2G/3G/4G Welding Test (7 plates)
• Valid TWIC Card

• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures, including Flux Core and Stick
• Experience with cutting torch and arc gouging
• Experience using electrical or manual tools, such as saws, squares, calipers, and so on
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Agility, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program
• Professional Certification, such as AWS welding certificate
