Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' goals and needs.
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and education, to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
  • 1-2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in a medical-surgical or geriatric setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy modalities and techniques, including but not limited to, physical agents, modalities, and assistive technology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
